It doesn’t take much for Tottenham Hotspur fans to get excited when it comes to highly rated youngster Troy Parrott, but with the 17-year-old celebrating his maiden senior Republic of Ireland call up on Friday, he topped it off by scoring his first brace at our new White Hart Lane Stadium later in the day.
Opening the scoring for our Under 23 group in the game against Manchester City with a sublime effort, a second half penalty secured his double on the day and with Paris Maghoma also getting on the scoresheet, we took a 3-1 victory on the night.

Given the overall quality of the strike, the young lad certainly came in for praise again on social media as he capped off a fine night on a personal front for him, and it can surely only be a matter of time before he gets pitch time under manager Mauricio Pochettino and given what we saw in pre-season (whilst expectations shouldn’t grow too high) he doesn’t look like he’ll let us down.
