£17m Spurs Misfit Could Extend Stay In Turkey

|

Fenerbahce are keen on keeping Vincent Janssen on loan for another year, according to Turkish publication Fanatik.

The Dutchman was allowed to leave for Turkey on a season long loan deal in the summer, but a toe injury he sustained in December means he has been sidelined for a number of months.

Despite missing a large part of the season, having played only 12 times in Turkey, and scoring three goals, Fenerbahce`s boss Aykut Kocaman is said to be keen to keep him.

It is believed the Yellow Canaries would like Vincent to stay to be part of full pre-season training so he can recover his form, and take a full part in next campaign. Whether we will allow a player we signed for £17m to go out on loan for a second year, it is debatable.

The 23-year-old is in line to return to full fitness sometime in April, and so his late season form could help us find a buyer, or even perhaps lead to him returning to us if Llorente is sold in the summer. At the moment, there is really no certainty over where he will playing once his current loan spell ends.
