The summer transfer window might be some time away, yet rumours continue to litter the back pages of newspapers and message forums online, and Tottenham have been linked with an interesting name in recent weeks.

The Daily Mail report that Spurs are interested in Bournemouth star Aaron Ramsdale, who has emerged as one of the Premier League’s most exciting young goalkeepers this season, and is a new name on the evergrowing list of shot-stoppers who could one day represent England on the international stage.

Should Tottenham replace Hugo Lloris?

Yes

No

With Tottenham seemingly in need of a new goalkeeper in the transfer window, some supporters on social media were buzzing to see the news that the club were interested in Ramsdale, with a few fans begging the club to get a deal done.

Here’s what a few Spurs fans had to say about the link to Ramsdale on Twitter once a fan account picked up on the reports when cited by The Sun

Some fans, though, didn’t believe the reliability of the story…

As per the Daily Mail’s report, Tottenham also face competition from Chelsea for Ramsdale’s signature as the Stamford Bridge outfit are also considering changes in their goalkeeping department.

Bournemouth are determined to retain Ramsdale’s services and awarded him a new contract that runs to 2024 in October, but their hopes of keeping the 21-year-old at the Vitality Stadium would decrease massively if Eddie Howe’s side are relegated this season.
